"When I finally made up my mind to leave home, it was hard to explain, even to myself, that I wasn't running away from anything, but that I was running towards something." ~ Doug Rogers
Canadian Doug Rodgers traveled to Japan to train in Judo in preparation for the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo. This is a documentary about martial arts, but to us, it embodies the brand. It's about leaving your comfort zone and traveling the globe. Also being huge fans of the Joe Rogan Podcast for the past five years, it has really helped be a source of deeper understanding about what it is to be a man in this day and age. This documentary is about challenging yourself and immersing yourself in a foreign country and broadening your horizons. Doing jiu jitsu, even at the low level that I am, has been the most profound experience of defending yourself, posture, ego, technique and style. I wish to train more to help with managing this tiny surging ship that we call ZzyxX.
